YoYo dieting is a pattern that is so easy to fall into. You have good intentions and want to lose weight. You start a diet of deprivation. You become tempted and feel hungry and cheat on your diet. You give up. You feel guilty and you start the cycle over again. Sometimes, in the process, you wind up gaining more weight and not losing any!

You can break this cycle and gain control over your weight loss success. You can make better choices. Leave the diet plans behind that lead to deprivation and adopt a whole new lifestyle.

There are so many healthy foods available that can make permanent weight loss the norm. And, you don't have to feel deprived or hungry in the process. With some creativity, you can prepare healthy diet meals that don't feel like diet meals at all. In order to do so, you must go back to nature.

When you shop in the grocery store, keep your grandmother in mind. If you pick something up off of the shelf, ask yourself if your grandmother would recognize the product you are considering. If the answer is no, put the product back on the shelf and move on. Processed foods have become the norm in too many households. This has caused unprecedented health problems in our society.

Diabetes, heart disease and cancer have become all too common. By cutting out the processed foods that contain high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils and refined sugars, you can improve your health and increase your chances of permanently taking off weight. In the process, you will reduce your risk of developing cancer, heart disease and diabetes.

Include lots of fresh, organic vegetables in your diet. The summertime provides an excellent opportunity to take advantage of the local crop that is in season. Eating locally preserves the nutrient content of your foods because you cut the time that it takes to get the food from the crop to your table. The longer it takes, the more nutrients are depleted.

Focus on whole grains and eliminate "white" products from your diet. Products containing white flours have been stripped of their nutrient content and do little more than provide pointless calories. Be sure to include enough water in your diet meals. We all need at least half of our body weight in ounces of pure water each day. In the summer, make some unsweetened herbal iced tea. This will count towards your necessary intake of water. Soft drinks and sugary drinks do not.

If you are determined and show a little bit of restraint, you can change your lifestyle and improve your health. There are even desserts that you can make that are healthy! Take a look at www.mycheaphealthymeals.com for some healthy diet meals and recipes for success.
