Doing a master cleanse may help to rid your body of toxins and can be an important method of detoxifying your system.

A master cleanse diet is effective for those who do not normally eat a healthy diet that is void of processed foods, meats, junk foods and refined white sugars but does include fresh, organic fruits and vegetables as well as whole grains. Those who eat a vegan or vegetarian diet and regularly eat healthfully do not need to do a master cleanse detox as their regular eating habits will purge their systems of toxins naturally.

There are several master cleanse diets you may have heard about such as the Burroughs master cleanse, lemonade master cleanse or the Beyonce master cleanse. The master cleanse recipe we will provide here is for the 10-day master cleanse. The drawbacks of performing a master cleanse is that you may feel light headed and irritable during the cleanse. You may also experience cramps and bloating. These uncomfortable symptoms are signs that your body is shedding toxins which may also result in bad breath during your master cleanse. You should not perform any cleanse without consulting with a naturopathic doctor, especially if you are taking medications. If you are pregnant or nursing you should never do a cleanse. Please see disclaimer below.
