The Lemonade Diet seems all the rage these days. I will tell you a bit about it here, but as with other quick weight loss diets out there, I don't recommend it as a long term, healthy weight loss solution.
The Lemonade Diet cleanse promises a huge reduction in your weight in only 10 days. Sounds too good to be true, right? Well, guess what, it is!
A benefit of the diet, is that it will cleanse your system. To think of it as a lemonade detox diet would be more beneficial as it is always a good idea to consider cleansing our systems. It is crucial to keep our bodies cleansed to remove toxins and heavy metals.
Toxins accumulate in our systems as a result of a diet full of processed junk foods that are devoid of nutrients and full of chemicals and preservatives. We also accumulate toxins from our environment. We are surrounded by pollutants everyday.
Many celebrities try diets such as the lemonade diet weight loss in order to drop a few pounds. For celebrities this may be an effective way to lose weight since they typically only have a small amount of weight to lose. For someone who has a lot of weight to take off, plans such as the lemonade cleanse diet are just not healthy and not effective long term and could harm your health in the process. While you may take off weight initially, once you resume your normal eating patterns, the weight will come back. Often, you will gain more than you had lost.
To lose weight sensibly and effectively, you will need to make changes to your lifestyle. Sometimes it is more effective for people who have major lifestyle changes ahead to make only a few of these changes at a time. Slowly incorporate the changes as it is comfortable for you. It is not easy. It takes a major commitment and some sacrifice. For the benefit of your health, it is well worth the effort.
For anyone who would like to try the lemonade diet as a method to cleanse, I will provide the recipe here. But, again, I don’t recommend it as a weight loss solution.
